Steamboat’s winter nonstop flight program will feature new nonstop service from San Francisco International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, expanded nonstop air service on the Los Angeles and Seattle routes and an additional weekend Houston flight directly into Steamboat/Hayden Airport (HDN) for the 2014/15 winter season.
“With the success of last year’s program, we have aggressively worked with the airlines to provide new and expanded access into Steamboat so that guests have a variety of convenient options to reach Ski Town, U.S.A.,” said Rob Perlman, senior vice president of sales & marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. “We have made significant strides in expanding access to Steamboat and will strongly leverage these new opportunities for the upcoming winter season.”
New for the 2014/2015 ski and snowboard season will be Saturday nonstop service from San Francisco (SFO) and Washington-Dulles (IAD). In addition, Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle (SEA) flights will both add an additional day of service during the winter. A new Houston (IAH) overnight flight, arriving Saturday and departing Sunday, rounds out the new offerings for the program. The resort’s upcoming flight program provides access from 11 major airports on key U.S. carriers – Alaska, American, Delta and United Airlines.
This past season, Australian travelers experienced the benefits of the LAX flight with convenient one-stop connections in both directions. With the addition of Saturday SFO flights and now four days a week from LAX, international guests will experience some of the best travel options to Steamboat in years. With Easter landing in early April, a number of flights will run an additional week to accommodate this important vacation holiday period.
