The Farmers Market officially kicks off for the season on Saturday, June 6. As you browse, look out for new vendor, Vadi's Goodies. Vadi will be selling Mediterranean dips and sides, all made nearby in Clark, CO using organic ingredients. Think: silky smooth hummus, smoky baba ganoush, warm homemade pita bread and crisp pickled vegetables. We chatted with Vadi ahead of the first market.
Steamboat Magazine: What are you looking forward to this Farmers Market season?
Vadi Rahmani: As a first-time Farmers Market vendor, I’m truly excited to connect with the community and share the products I’ve created with so much love and passion. I believe food and handmade products bring people together in a meaningful way, and there’s no better place to build those connections than at a local market. I’m passionate about organic ingredients, authentic flavors, and creating products that make people feel welcome, nourished and inspired. I look forward to meeting new people, sharing stories and becoming part of the wonderful community in Steamboat Springs.
SM: Do you have a favorite product or one that you would recommend to shoppers?
VR: I genuinely love all of my hummus flavors, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the baba ganoush. It’s a smoky, creamy Middle Eastern eggplant dip made with roasted eggplant, rich tahini, fresh lemon juice, and simple, wholesome ingredients. It’s full of flavor, comforting, and incredibly versatile. Whether enjoyed with warm bread, fresh vegetables, or as part of a meal, it’s a dish that brings people together and introduces them to authentic Mediterranean flavor.
SM: What is something people could make or enjoy using your products?
VR: In addition to my homemade foods and dips, I also import beautiful organic Turkish cotton products directly from Turkey. This season, I’m excited to share them with the Steamboat Springs community at special market prices. These towels and blankets are colorful, lightweight, high quality and incredibly soft. They can be used for camping trips, pool days, hot springs, beach outings, yoga, travel, or simply as a cozy blanket for relaxing evenings on the deck. I carefully select products that are both affordable and long-lasting, and I’m confident people will love how comfortable, practical and beautiful they are.
