Less than five years ago, Alterra, the ski area's parent company, invested $250 million in Steamboat Resort. Today, six luxury property developers are in various stages of planning projects that will further reshape the face of Steamboat's mountain community.
1. The Stockman - Debuting as Steamboat Springs’ first Auberge Collection-branded ski-in, ski-out resort and residences, The Stockman is being developed by Stockman Development LLC, led by Marquee Development, the real estate development arm of the Ricketts family office, owners of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Stars. Consisting of 95 private residences and 59 resort guest rooms and suites, the project is expected to break ground in 2026. The resort will feature signature culinary venues, a Wellbeing by Auberge concept complete with a full-service spa and pool as well as one-of-a-kind experiences including a ski butler service, après experience and outdoor pursuits during the warmer seasons. Reservations are now open, with sales launching in spring 2026 and pricing starting at $1.1 million. www.thestockmanresidences.com
2. The Amble - Developed by East West Partners, The Amble includes 42 residences on the knoll at the center of Mount Werner Circle. The first residents moved into this hillside neighborhood this spring. Prices range from $1.8 million to $9.2 million. www.theamble.com

3. The Astrid - Developed by Fuse Family Ventures, this $190 million luxury condo project is led by Myles and Terrell Sherman. A 64-unit luxury complex located off of Ski Trail Lane, the initial phase is expected to be completed in 2027. Prices range from $7.5 million. www.theastrid.com

4. Wildair - Developed by Orion Real Estate Investment and Blue Sage Ventures, located at 1830 Ski Time Square Drive. It will feature 20 residences and a ground floor commercial space.

6. Roan - Developed by RAL Companies, this project features 21 three- to five-bedroom townhomes between Mount Werner Road and Broomtail Lane in the Wildhorse Meadows neighborhood.
