The Strings Pavilion is the perfect setting for their harmonious vocals and acoustic sound.

“If Elephant Revival doesn’t make you smile, something is wrong with you.” ~ The New York Times

Family Concert, December 23: The Nutcracker with Jim Gamble Puppet Productions

The Steamboat family holiday season would not be complete without a performance of The Nutcracker. Strings welcomes back the award-winning puppet theater company and its incredible marionettes. Enjoy an adaptation of the popular ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s musical masterpiece. Strings kids voted this as one of their all-time favorites. Don’t miss the Sugar Plum Fairy!

Holiday Concert, December 29: The #1 touring Broadway concert in the U.S.

If you liked Under the Streetlamp last summer you will love this.

We are bringing the best of Broadway to Strings! Five of today’s top New York stars come together for an evening of show tunes and holiday favorites. Neil Berg’s Broadway Holiday features hits ranging from classics such as My Fair Lady, South Pacific, West Side Story and Chicago to current blockbusters like Jersey Boys and Wicked. The show will also feature much loved holiday tunes.

Valentines Day Concert, February 14: Darrell Scott & Tim O’Brien

Join two of the greatest talents in bluegrass and country music together for an intimate evening of picking and storytelling. Contemporary bluegrass pioneer, a multi-instrumentalist and Grammy award-winner, O’Brien is steeped in bluegrass and country roots. Singer/songwriter Scott straddles country and rock ’n’ roll and is known for hits “Born to Fly” and “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.”

“O’Brien is a master of American folk music and Irish music–a fine songwriter and one of my favorite singers.” ~ Mark Knopfler

“Darrell Scott’s playing is unreal. He’s just limitless in his approach and knowledge of instruments.” ~ Sam Bush

Fundraising Event, February 28: Key Concert

Dress in your best black and white for this piano concert in the round. Experience the sound of Strings’ brand new Steinway! Join us in the Pavilion for a sit-down three-course dinner and intimate concert with 24-year-old Sean Chen. Chen recently won the Crystal Award at the 2013 Cliburn, the most prestigious piano competition in the world. Chen’s long list of awards and orchestra collaborations can only be topped by his passionate stage presence.

Mardi Gras Concert, March 4: Dirty Dozen Brass Band

Get ready for a dance party! The screaming horns of Bourbon Street will have you out of your seats. Incorporating funk and bebop, they break through the boundaries of the traditional brass band to evolve into a highly lauded world-renowned musical force.

“…the Dirty Dozen Brass Band continues to be a national treasure: steeped in both the past and the present, impossible to categorize and mighty funky.” ~ New York Times

St. Patty's Day Concert: March 18: Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul

The St. Patty’s celebration continues with this Strings favorite. Ivers is hailed as one of greatest innovators in Celtic music, and she continues to electrify crowds with her dazzling live performances. With Immigrant Soul, she performs a compelling mix of Traditional Irish instruments, African and Latin percussion and bass and soulful American vocals.
